1. Discussing your vision
I consider this step extremely valuable. At this stage we have conversations in which I get to know you and your family. I get a feel for your lifestyle. You tell me what you want from the project and I ask a lot of questions about you and the project.
We'll take a look at what you want, what you need and how much you can spend. Be as specific as you can.
Your vision or ideas may change or adjust as we fine tune the plan. Together we can explore all the details necessary in putting together your project.
2. Rough Sketches
After I have a clear image of your needs, I'll provide you with rough sketches of the design. We'll discuss the sketches in depth and make any necessary changes based on your thoughts and feedback. We will work to fine tune the plan until we have developed a great plan that will create the kind of daily living experience and home you will enjoy.
3. Developing the Design
When you have approved the sketches, the design is then drawn in the computer for further design review and comments. These drawings are to scale and show more precise information about the project. Once you have approved this phase, the final construction documents can be created.
4. Construction Documents
In this stage, I will prepare the construction documents that will be used to obtain permits from the city or county, to allow contractors to give you a complete bid and to use to build the building. These construction documents will also include the structural documents required for the project.
